Should I pick my stone before my Cabinets?

There is no golden rule. Some clients prefer to choose the Granite first in order to pick a colour vein or cluster within the stone which is present to tie in the colour flow of the cabinets. It just comes done to personal preference.

Stone Bench tops vs. Laminate?

What is reconstituted / engineered stone?

Reconstituted stone is also known as “engineered stone” and is composed of natural marble/granite granulates and powder combined with a highly specialised polyester resin. The resulting product has physical properties similar to those of marble/granite, but has a number of properties and characteristics which surpass natural marble/granite from its raw state.

Other ground aggregates such as stones, mirror flecks, coloured glass and shells are also added to some batches, and combine the strength and durability of composite materials with the elegance of natural stone.

Where does Natural stone come from?

It’s remarkable that solid pieces of stone can still be pulled out of the ground in quarries right around the world, cut, then polished to give you the opportunity to have your very own piece of art work in your home… from our own Aussie backyard Chillagoe, to romantic places like Italy and Spain right through to exotic places like Brazil and many, many more.

The countries with largely the most commercial granite include Brazil, Finland, Norway, Spain, Sweden, India and several countries in southern Africa, such as Angola, Namibia and Zimbabwe.

Does beetroot juice, coffee, tomato sauce, red wine or vinegar stain?

Reconstituted / engineered stone brands are stain resistant for 24 hours! I would highly encourage you to come and collect a stone sample therefore you could apply your own testing… you’ll be impressed!
